©2014 Brushed FX I have always believed that a good makeup application begins with good skin care, and that cosmetics were meant to be natural looking and enhance your best features. So I decided to enroll in both programs. I absolutely loved every moment I had in school, from my very first facial to my last chemical exfoliation, I knew that I had found my passion and purpose; helping others to achieve healthier, younger and vibrant skin! Yvonne Lynette My new journey began with makeup and I found my passion in skin care. It started when I did assisting and makeup for Spoken Word, an Independent film. I began researching all things makeup, from film to photography and lighting. Learning off the web and YouTube from Pro MUAs, such as Robert Jones, Sonia Roselli, Jordan Liberty, Kevin James Bennett and Melissa Street. I had such an amazing experience during the filming that I wanted to do makeup professionally. I came across SMI on the internet and knew that, that was the school I was going to attend. A year later I toured the campus and learned about their Aesthetics program. For years, I was using the wrong products and ingredients for my skin type. Over time, I had stripped and sensitized my skin. When I hit my 30s I had dry, irritated blotchy reddened skin . I began to notice hyper-pigmentation (brown spots) surfacing across my face. In school, I learned what was going on with my own skin, how to treat such skin conditions and others, with ingredients and treatment plans to repair the skin's natural barrier defence system. For additional education, I also attended classes taught by Dave Waggoner and Lisa Vanbockern, owner of Skin Script . I began personally using their products, and not only do they feel and smell amazing, they gave me results! I believe that they are one of the up most highest quality skin care line out there, and available at an affordable price. I want to provide my clients with the same great ingredients and education in a proper home care regimen to achieve their desired results.
